Jason's Cut Flip at Zuma Beach, Hand-Signed 8x10 by Austin St. John

Zuma Beach near Pepperdine. I was on top of a 20-foot rock and wanted to do a front flip with a twist (a "Russian") right after the pyrotechnics went off at my feet.

The director didn't want me to, but he let me. I stuck it! And then he cut the whole flip as too intense for the kiddos. In the episode you only see the explosion, the jump, and then my feet landing in the sand.

This is when I learned the Director is in charge!
